WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH MENOPAUSE MANAGEMENT?: Why the Women's Health Initiative raises more questions than it answers (Postgraduate Medicine)

Evidence-based care for the well woman, like many areas in medicine, is rapidly evolving. Examples of the evolution are found in the other articles in this symposium on women's health. In particular, menopause management has always created challenges for physicians (see box at end of article). But during the last 3 years, it has undergone such a radical reassessment that both physicians and patients are often left confused about what steps are supported by data.
